The show rolls on to Kentucky with a third big win on the trot
27th October 2024
Hit Show has hit form. The winner on three of his first four trips to a racetrack, then unsuccessful on the next six, the white-bridled grey has found a rich seam of form, winning his last three starts, all Graded Stakes events, with ever-growing authority.
This time, in the Grade 2 Fayette Stakes at Keeneland, he had to dig deep to reel in the front-running and well-named Bolzy, who proved a ballsy opponent. On top at the line, Hit Show is benefitting from a programme that shies away from the deepest contests in the Stakes book (no Breeders’ Cup for him) for a confidence-building run of victories, which may set him up for a successful raiding mission on some of the biggest winter prizes on the dirt surfaces of the Middle East.
